My clinical training and teaching experience, along with my 5+ years of experience sitting with folks, has given me a lot of tools to help hold the safest and most affirming space possible for you. What that means is something we will define together. I know firsthand the importance of this space for LGBT folks, queer folks, folks active in kink and poly communities, and families of choice - particularly when navigating the mental health world. It's important, too, that this space makes room for all the intersections of other identities that co-create who we are.
I believe that identity is a fluid, beautiful, and often painful blend of innate being, cultural structures, collective dreaming, and personal evolution. I have sat as a therapist with folks identifying in all kinds of ways, and I understand that folks' identities do not stem from labels but from who we are as people.
